Hawks Split Double-Header at Prairie State

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Chicago Heights, IL: The Hawks were able to win one of two against Prairie State College on Monday afternoon. The Hawks won 9-1 in the first game but fell 1-11 in the second.

Game 1
Brian Jensen got the Hawks on the board early in the first with a RBI single scoring Tommy Jusi. Jusi singled in the second as well to score Samuel Del Valle. Anthony Milano scored on a double steal later in the inning to put the Hawks up 3-0.

The fifth inning is where the Hawks really opened up scoring five runs. Two runs were scored from fielder's choice ground outs and two were scored on wild pitches. Milano added a RBI single in the inning as well.

Mason Hulligan earned his second win of the season on the mound pitching six innings with zero earned runs. He struck out five batters as well. Antonio DeBartolo finished the game for the Hawks with one inning pitched with a strike out.

Game 2
Milano stole home in the first to put the Hawks on the board early. Unfortunately they couldn't get anything going offensively after that.

Mitchell Janczak took the loss on the mound pitching one inning allowing five runs.
