Hawks Lose Lead Late Against Owls

Box Score Palatine, IL: The Hawks came out with a lot of energy and drive Tuesday night against the Oakton Owls at home, but lost the game allowing three runs in the last two inning.

In the first, Brian Jensen hit a sac fly to center that scored Anthony Milano. The Owls' pitcher made an error that also allowed Kyle Odeshoo to score and Tommy Jusi to advance to second. Ethan Dorka singled two pitches later to bring Jusi in.

The Hawks added another run in the second inning with a double from Odeshoo that brought in Milano.

The Owls scored three in the third, but Dorka hit a sac fly to center to bring in Jusi to extend the lead to two.

The Owls added one in the fifth before scoring before adding two in the eighth and one in the ninth to win the game.

Jermaine Salcedo started on the mound for the Hawks going four and a third innings and striking out five. Steven Byrne took over for him going three innings and striking out three. He allowed two runs and took the loss. Mason Hulligan closed the game out from there striking out four out of five batters but also allowed a run.

The Hawks will play next at Sauk Valley tomorrow at 3 PM.

The Hawks' End of Season Tailgate will be before the May 2nd game on Thursday. Food will be served at 1 PM by the baseball field.

The Hawks' Senior Day will be at the Saturday double-header vs Olive-Harvey at noon.
